The Abandoned Shack

This is the safety area the wolves of the Folly will find in the Roleplay Plot Oct 2012. The abandoned Shack is dark, spooky, and haunted. Walls creak, and doors swing with out any stimulus. There is little light, and a foul stench of what may lurk inside....

The Abandoned Shack Sailor3

Sailor padded onto the plains, The long grass swayed around him as he trotted through, his white pelt was visible amongst the brown long grass, wheats and other things, He was ahead of the pack members. The white male paused, and turned around, waiting on them to catch him up. The abandoned shack wasn't too far away, where Sailor was to hide the pack in refuge from the humans. He saw their horses, but they must of ventured into the forest.

Sailor squinted at the tree-line, seeing the last of some shining hard metal that the light flicked into his eyes, giving a temporary pain. He blinked a few times and the humans were disappeared into the forest, heading in towards the den area. Sailor flicked his tail impatiently waiting on the wolves to hurry up and join him.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Blayse Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:17 pm

As Blayse approached, he slid to a stop avoiding ramming into Sailor. He looked around. First thing coming to mind - Food and water. Not wanting to bring it up just yet, he padded around. Aimlessly, he rolled around in the vegetation. He had always done this, a quirk of his.

Upon singling out the only thing that seemed out of place - a very difficult task to do, Blayse raised his maw. His ears lowered and his tail raised, he tilted his head. ''Uh. Sailor...?''

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

When Quill finally caught up to the two wolves, she slowed her pace until she was absolutely still, a few feet behind them. She flattened her ears against her skull, anxiety filling her now more than ever. A lump formed in her throat, but she fought the whimper that was trying to escape it. Nervously, she sat and scratched behind her ear with her hind leg, even though it didn't itch. She stopped when her nails began to break the tender skin, and shook her head when she stood.

He broke his voice, seeing Quill. He could see her anxiety, unsure of why though. Her energy was totally 'cramping' his style, so he had to do something.. Fast. He gave a sharp, abrupt bark. ''Dude. Take a chill pill.''

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Crisis Wed Oct 31, 2012 9:26 pm

Crisis walked into the area, suspicious at the human shack. What is Sailor thinking? For Heaven's sake, it's a human house!
Narrowing her eyes, she sniffed the walls of the shack, not liking the human taint to the naturally occurring scents of the wood.
A bark startled her, and she turned around to see Blayse barking at Quill for something. She frowned, but didn't move; instead she continued sniffing the area around, trying to find out why Sailor chose this place to escape from the humans. She knew Sailor would have a plan or something, but it still intrigued her, at the back of her mind it hovered, like a moth at a flame.

Quill jumped at Blayse's voice. She turned to him and gave him a slight scowl. When she glanced over her shoulder, she was glad to see Crisis there, and it calmed her a down a little bit. But still, she couldn't help but feel insecure, since Blayse was obviously annoyed. She wanted to speak up for herself, but couldn't find any good words to throw at him. Her level of sarcasm, unfortunately, wasn't very high, along with her liking of it.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Crisis Thu Nov 01, 2012 9:42 am

Crisis soon got bored of searching for something that clearly wasn't there, and turned towards the other members of the party. She noticed Quill looking rather uncomfortable, and she gave a quick smile of reassurance. It was only on her lips for a second - and then it was gone.
As if the brief interaction was over, the she-wolf carried on sniffing a plank which was wedged against the door.

The male puffed up, and stretched. He heaved a sigh, noticing the dark furred female enter the area.

''Hmm. Look who finally decided to show up!'' He glanced over at the dark furred female, still not having caught her name. He noticed Quill scowl and growled lowly, but assumed she must've been tired from the long day.

''Hmm. Look who finally decided to show up!''

Crisis spun around, her eyes narrowed. She didn't want to cause a scene - for that was what Blayse wanted, obviously, a reaction. She didn't like the growl either, in fact. Actually, she didn't like Blayse anyway, but she kept that to herself.

She gave two clicks with her tongue, and glanced towards Quill. "Well I don't know why you're being so moody, Blayse," she said, her German accent increasing by the minute.

He tilted his head. Clearly, this one hasn't been introduced to sarcasm. He didn't want to say anything, unsure if it'd be appropriate. He flicked his tail, avoiding the female and sitting down next to Quill, feeling more comfortable around her than anyone else. he whispered to her, ''what is her name?'' He glanced at the dark furred female once again, twitching his nose.

Noticing Crisis' smile, Quill relaxed her muscles. She slightly moved away when Blayse sat next to her, but stayed tensionless. "What is her name?"

Quill rolled her eyes, then turned back to Blayse and sighed quietly,"Crisis. Her name is Crisis." Without thinking twice, she quickly added aloud,"Don't start anything," and kept her eyes on Blayse. Her gaze was very dismal at the moment; not because she didn't want to be around Blayse, but because she was anxious to get back to the den, though she knew they probably wouldn't go back for days, maybe weeks. It gave her a headache to think about it too much.

As Blayse walked away to sit next to Quill, the female kept on investigating the human den. Humans hadn't been around for a while, certainly, and although Crisis could hear the little discussion behind her, she paid no heed; instead concentrating on peering through a gap in the wall. Many rats had most likely gone through this hole, and she wrinkled her nose at the scent - she quickly darted her nose away and started sniffing another area. Autumn leaves covered the ground like a quilt, and as the she-wolf stepped on them, moisture seeped into her paws.

The Abandoned Shack Sailor3

Sailor watched as Quill and Blayse showed up, Sailor flattened his ears at the dark coloured male, not too impressed with his current attitude. The silvery brute got to his paws. He glanced around, and soon smelt the arrival of Crisis. Then the black coloured she-wolf appeared, He gave a small smile to her, his tail flicked and he glanced as Blayse decided to yell at nearly the top of his voice. Sailor gave a growl at the male.

"Are you right? Are you trying to attract the humans to us!?" he flattened his ears at the male, He looked to Crisis over his shoulder, and then back at the two. "Get inside you three, I will follow you in, and wait for the others" he barked sharply again. He looked around, his grey eyes keen on any thing that mvoes in the trees or the plains that could be the other pack members or the humans.

The male didn't understand why everyone was so mad for. He decided not to speak, seeing as everything he said was frowned upon. He dragged his paws along the ground, waiting outside the structure. ''Go in, Sailor.'' A touch of sincerity skimmed him voice. He didn't expect Sailor to agree to this as Sailor was already in the bad with him.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Crisis was about to return a half-smile to Sailor, but when he spoke, she turned away, deciding to do what he said. The Epicyon could tell that he was in a bad mood, and thus put her head down and walked towards the door of the old Den. She was about to nudge the door open - she doubted it was locked, and even so, after years of decay the lock would be as useless as a chocolate kettle - but is swung open by itself, with an audible creak.
Okay.... she shivered.
The Sentry glanced at the members behind her, not wanting to seem like a wimp - therefore, to avoid this, she strode in.

The male, glanced over at Crisis. His tail flicked, looking back out towards the plains and forest. He pawed the ground, his paw unsettled. The foul smell of the old, and damp cabin filled the air. Blayse stumbled backward, shaking his face. He returned moments later when the stench had partially disappeared.

Instantly, inside the shack it grew cold and dark. The Epicyon could barely see, and she blended in with her dark pelt. Cobwebs were everywhere, and she coughed, turning back towards Blayse and the others. She tilted her head, as if to say they better get inside before Sailor needs to ask them twice.

The male, arched his head back at the female's notion. He didn't want to go in, especially now. His posture would not reveal it, but he was disgusted. He stuck with his statement to Sailor.
Him before me.

Blayse lowered his ears, the grass swaying casually. He scraped along the ground, impressions left. He wondered when we would get food, him being in the area for a long time without food, unsettled him.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Quill Sat Nov 03, 2012 2:30 am

Quill quickly followed Sailor's instructions, not wanting to annoy him any more than he already was. She followed behind Crisis, glancing around the dusty shack. When the foul odor hit her nose, her expression was unpleasant, and she curled her lips in disgust. The female closed her eyes tightly and flattened her ears, cobwebs freefalling and sticking to her fur. She decided it wasn't the worst situation she'd been in; losing her mother was far worse. So without hesitation, she padded over to a spot that she could at least make out with her eyes, and plopped down, resting her chin on the floor between her front paws.

When she thought about it, Quill was glad she didn't have but a stub for a tail. If her tail were longer and she wagged it, who knew what would catch onto her fur. She twitched her little stub and glanced up at the door, narrowing her eyes at the light.

Blayse still couldn't understand why everyone was so upset with him for, I mean he never killed anyone. Maybe they haven't heard of sarcasm. He thought this as his blood began to boil, he grew angry but no one could tell. He regretted meeting them, seeing as they all seem to regret meeting him too. He sat down, impatiently waiting for Sailor.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Crisis Sat Nov 03, 2012 11:38 am

Crisis shrugged, with an air of "it's your funeral," before heading back over the threshold into the shack.
Cobwebs clung to her fur like macabre ghosts, sticking like glue to her pelt. It was clear humans had abandoned this Den; old, rotten furniture was haphazardly strewn across the wooden planks, and damp and mould covered the walls. The scent was overpowering, and the Epicyon pushed her ears back, flat against her skull. The dark beams above could barely be seen, and in the corner, a children's toy was laying, like a fallen soldier. It's face was cracked, and with a shiver Crisis carried on, walking quickly towards Quill.
"Well, this is an interesting hideout," she said, her voice artificially bright and high.

"Well, this is an interesting hideout".

Quill nodded and lifted her head at the she-wolf. "Isn't it just?" she replied. She gave a friendly half-smile and switched her eyes over to Blayse, who, Quill could sense, was not very happy. She pulled to her feet, recieving cobwebs all over her coat and shaking them from her. Before walking off, she whispered,"Excuse me a moment," and dipped her head to Crisis.

Upon standing a few inches away from the doorway, Quill kept her eyes narrowed, as the sun shone intensely in them. She tried to beckon Blayse to join them, seeing as he was just... not the same, she supposed. He wasn't acting in his normal way.

Crisis snorted. "Not fit for pigs, this Den," she replied, sniffing at an old, moth-eaten chair. As she got comfy - or as comfy as she could be in this dead old place - Quill got up.

"Excuse me a moment."

The Epicyon's eyes followed the tawny-furred female as she walked towards Blayse. It had surprised the Sentry on how close friends they were, even though they'd only known each other for a few days.

The Abandoned Shack Empty Re: The Abandoned Shack

Post by Melloette Sun Nov 04, 2012 2:57 am

In a frantic sprint, Melloette was startled when the strange contraption rose above her. As she came to a sudden halt (she more slid to the halt than trotted to a stand gracefully), her off colored eyes took in the site of the thing. It was like a cave, but built from above the ground, rather than in the side of a mountain or in the ground.

Eyes narrowing in puzzlement, she eyed the wolf that stood near the entrance. Is she part of the pack? she wondered, but soon the wolf disappeared inside. Swallowing her terror, Melloette inched forward, belly pressed to the ground. When a sharp noise unlike anything she had heard before rose from behind, Melloette let out a sharp yelp and darted toward the up-cave. Her entrance was not graceful, but she had managed to escape from her fears - so she thought.

Looking at the wolves inside, Melloette came to the realization that she knew very few of them. Her ears flattened as she backed away, now uncertain of whether she feared those in the shack more or less than the unknown force that was wandering in the woodlands.
